last time at school, my friend juz told me that akito-san was a girl, i said %26quot;:waaatt?%26quot; cuz they never mention it in the anime, im so confused now.. is he/she girl or not?

the anime an the manga ended differently.. which really sucked


towards the end of the manga you find out she is a girl an it changes alot of things ...





her father was the head of the family an when her mother became pregnant with her, her mother didn%26#039;t like that her father loved akito so much she was very jealous, so akito%26#039;s mother said to her father that the only way ill let you keep her is if you raise her as a boy...





there are alot of thing that differ from the manga to the anime an if you liked the anime you should really read the manda it is really good an so much better

Reply:yeah, Akito is a girl. At the time of the production of the anime, the manga has not covered about Akito%26#039;s character nor background so they portrayed her as a boy(also cuz she pretends to be a boy too u know)


That%26#039;s the one thing the anime screwed up with cuz I think they didn%26#039;t consult the mangaka about that before animating Akito in the anime(cuz then they could choose a better, androgynous seiyuu so that the fans won%26#039;t be that surprised) and i read somewhere that was one of the reasons she was furious with the anime.





that%26#039;s why the possibilty of 2nd season is so far cuz they screwed up with the first one, unless they wanna do a remake like Kanon 2006..
